December 2012-Jason and Jamie were so generous to let us move into their home with them while Wes finished up his last semester at SUU. Hailey loved every second of it, mostly because she got to see her Aunt Jamie everyday and play with Duke and Tana. She especially LOVED when Aria would come stay on some weekends.
March 2013- Scotty comes home from serving a honorable full-time mission in Romania!
April - Wes finds out he was accepted to Creighton University's Law Program (his number one choice of Law School he applied for) Yay!
- We gain a brother-in-law...Kiley and Cody get married!
May - Wes graduates from SUU with his Bachelor's in Political Science with a Legal Studies minor.
- Friel Family trip to Saint George for a week.
- Move to Riverton, Utah. My parents were kind enough to let us move into their home so we could save money during the summer. We kept our storage unit in Cedar City that held most of our stuff since we knew we would be moving AGAIN at the end of summer. We had a bittersweet feeling as we left Cedar City behind, this is where Wes and I met, married, and started our family here, but we were excited to be up north and closer to my family for the summer before we moved. We had such a blast being so close to family, and Hailey just ADORE'S all of her cousin's!
June 12, 2013- Austin James Mangum was born. Austin has been such a joyful addition to our family. From the second he was born I was so in love with him! He has such a sweet spirit about him, and Hailey is so great with him, and is always loving on her little brother.
July- Gain a new Sister-in-law...Scotty and Quincy get married! They got sealed in the Arizona temple, so we got to do a mini trip to Arizona for the weekend.
- Austin is blessed by Wes; we were so grateful for the many family and friends that were able to be with us on this special occasion.
- Celebrate Hailey 2nd birthday; since we were going to be moving during her real birthday, we celebrated a couple of weeks early so we could do it around family!
- MOA! Our long awaited girls trip to the Mall of America. When I say girls trip I mean sisters, mom, and baby Austin. Austin was our mascot on the trip and earned the nickname 'Bubba Gump' I had such a blast on this trip shopping, hanging out, and uh....well Shopping!! I was a little worried about flying and packing Austin around, but everyone was SO helpful and Austin loved being held by everyone :) We decided this trip will definitely be happening again!
August- The BIG move to Omaha, Nebraska. We had been anticipating this day for a long time. Let's just say a few tears were shed as we packed up our car, truck, and uhaul, and pulled out of my parents driveway, not exactly sure where we were going, what we'd be doing, or where we'd be living. We stayed at the LDS institute directors house for a week as we looked for a place. From the time we found out we were going to be moving to Omaha, we had find some townhomes we just KNEW we wanted/needed to be in, but they were already completely full...as the first couple days went by looking at apartments/houses we were getting a little discourage because nothing was feeling right. Wes received a phone call on our third night out here from one of his buddies that already lived in the townhomes we previously wanted to get, long story short, someone that was planning on moving out had just been accepted to a different law program which they decided to go to instead, opening up the place for us! We know the Lord has been helping us throughout this entire process and we have been so grateful for all the blessings and watchful care we have been blessed with. We're also so grateful for the support and help of our families that made all this possible! And I'm so proud of Wes and all his hard work and time that he has put into school, studying, and work...I know we still have a ways to go, but we are excited for this new challenge/adventure/exciting time that we have ahead of us! Only three years to go! Wahoo!
